Where would you suggest your child go?

I’d also like to add my support of the Carleton, UW-Madison and Bryn Mawr suggestions for the OP. All excellent options, and arguably stronger academic reputations in the OP’s mentioned fields of study than her current acceptances (NYU has some strengths, but not so much as to justify those costs). Since deadlines haven’t yet passed, I’d strongly recommend at least one more app to a strong LAC, and one to UW. Cannot hurt one bit.

Full disclosure: I was accepted to top LACs back in the day, but chose UW in the end, both for finances and for overall fit at the time. Either option can offer outstanding academics. I did similar majors: declared English as first major, History as second, and did four years of the Honors program German track. After two years, I was recruited into Comparative Literature, where my reading in German and other national literatures counted toward my degree in Comp Lit (whereas in English, they didn’t) – an idea worth considering for you. Bryn Mawr would also be a great choice for English / Comp. Lit. / Classics, etc. All mentioned departments historically have very strong track records at UW, as does Psychology (grad programs typically rate top ten / top twenty nationally). German at UW is one of the oldest, most renowned departments in the U.S. I have good friends who’ve had great experiences at Carleton, too; a few of those also went on to grad school in Comp Lit, law, etc.

I have read mixed reviews on the ASU Barrett honors college. It’s not a choice I’d go with personally, but this is not to detract from others who have had positive experiences. New College may be a bit stronger. I would not recommend NYU unless you can come out of undergrad with little to no loans. If I were in your position, I’d max out your application process to find the strongest academics, combined with the most workable financial package for you and your family. Best of luck-
