where you are going compared to where your best friends are going

Me - Vanderbilt
Hometown Friends - Rutgers, Widener, Stockton, DeSales
School Friends - Penn, Cornell, Stevens, NYU, Rutgers, Cooper Union, Community College

Definitely a mix, but you can see the discrepancy between my friends from my town and my friends from school

Me - Columbia
Best Friend - Stanford

I’m the one leaving California, though…xD

Though I do believe that the people who you hang around with does influence how you perform in school.

Well i’m friends with a lot of different people. This is where they are going: Brown, UChicago, Holy Cross, Boston U, Occidental, Rhode Island College (a lot of people), University of Rhode Island (even more people), Johnson and Wales University, Providence College, Barnard, University of Maryland, UPenn, UConn, GWU, Mass. College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

The friends I’ve known the longest–since elementary school–are either going to state schools or not enrolling at all. I will attend an ivy league this fall.

I actually began to drift from their proclivity to party, promiscuity, etc. my freshman year of high school. They hate school and studying. They’re still my “best” friends, I suppose one could say; I can easily jump in to their conversations even after months of little communication, but I realize I am a completely different person, more nerdy and timid than they. My junior and senior years of high school, I made friends whom I’m genuinely comfortable with, but there’s a lack of familiarity connection that I have with my old friends. I understand friends don’t have to be similar or perfect matches in every respect, but I don’t know whom I can entrust as true friends.

I will be going to Mount Holyoke College. (:D)

My closest of friends will be entering UMD (3), UMBC (3), Towson U and community college. I will be the only one of our group to be leaving the state of Maryland. :\ Self-imposed, I know.

My S is going to USC Film School. His close friends are going to USC (Engineering), Northwestern, Harvard, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Parsons, Northeastern, and Wesleyan. I think they have many intellectual/creative things in common and that probably shows in their college results.

my bffs who are going to Stanford and Harvard are quickly becoming my frienemies. They are acting strange around me all of the suddenly, like I’m not worthy of their friendship.

i’m going to the College of Wooster.

most of my friends are going to:

ITT Tech (2)
Univ. of Akron (4)
Univ. of Akron - Wayne College (at least 5)
Ohio State (1)
not going to college (1)

My son is going to USC film school, and his closest friends are going to Harvard (several), Brown, Duke, Yale, UW, Dartmouth, Middlebury, Macalester. He was hoping at least some of them would join him in California, but they decided to turn down Stanford, USC and Pomona to go east.

me: ole miss

best friends: american (2), uva (2), delaware, macalester, pitt, reed, goucher, f and m, uc boulder, bc, suny binghamton, parsons, vcu, dickinson…

we’re all over the place!
