Sorry I had to quote a commercial, but seriously, what happened to everyone who used to post on the old Emory board? I would love to hear how you guys are doing and your thoughts on Emory after now being an Eagle for a couple of months.

I agree, people like old giants were really helpful it seems no one else cares but us lol

I know.. My guess is that they are all just on Learnlink and stuff. My friend (who is now a Freshman at Emory) said that Learnlink is this huge deal that allows for emails between people, message boards, and so on...

Hey guys,
yes, we've all been caught up in the mystique that is Learnlink. It's amazing, really. On top of that, it's exam time so everyones studying up.

Hmm, so what do I think of being an Emory Eagle? well, that's a pretty broad question, so I'll try to break it down for you:

I'm a female conservative from Connecticut, and Emory is not quite as conservative as I expected it to be. It's actually quite liberal. But, it's more conservative than ANYTHING in New England, so it's a step up for me. You won't get too much conservative sentiment until you go into the boonies of GA. It's a little hard to come all the way to GA from CT, but it's nothing I didn't expect (I'm a homebody and would've gotten homesick anywhere I went) and there's so many people from up north that it sort of feels homey....sometimes....sort of.

The classes here are challenging but not impossible. It's really difficult to explain how it's different from high school...someone tried to explain it to me when I was in high school and I didn't get it and so I'm not sure if you will, BUT... It's just that they teach you things much much differently than they'd ever teach them in high school. That was hard for me at first, but I got used to it quickly, and now I'm doing well. I spend about 20 hours a week in class/lab (this is more than other people because I'm taking 2 lab classes).

Um, I guess thats all. Any questions about anything else?
