Where's Econ 2?

So I still need to take either Econ 1 or Econ 2 (I'm Haas/Econ intended). Econ 1 this semester is taught by Olney, and the general consensus is that an A is impossible in her class...her exams are too tough and graded too harshly. So I don't mind taking Econ 2 instead. I cant find it on the schedule for this semester, and I didn't find it on the schedule for last semester either? Did the school just not offer it this year at all?

And on a sidenote, Ive never taken Econ at all. Is Econ 2 much harder than Econ 1? Ive heard Econ 2 may be better for your GPA, since the curve isnt as harsh.

Unfortunately, Econ 2 will not be offered until Spring 2008. The professor who teaches it, Christina Romer, is on sabbatical.

I think it's idiotic they can't just get another professor to teach Econ2, since Econ2 is a much deeper class. I dont know how it compares in terms of grading though to Econ 1.
