So I have been waiting for a financial/acceptance packet for a long time now since I was notified of my acceptance online. I did receive an acceptance "pack" with an invitation to DOTL but is that all? All of my other colleges have sent me giant folders filled with financial loan/scholarship information as well as booklets about the school.

If you could, what did your acceptance packet look like and what was in it?

UVa mails almost nothing. Everything is done by email or SIS. Only a few things are emailed to parents. That is why it is critically important for a student to keep their parents informed about emails from the school and financial aid “to do lists” and other items on SIS.

They mail out a small acceptance packet to those who were accepted (at least that is how it was 2 years ago). I don’t believe they sent out letters if you were not accepted or if you were waitlisted. In any case, the decision letter for everyone is on the SIS.

The aid office is paperless. Admission is almost paperless. Everything related to a student’s account, now an throughout their time here, is in SIS.
