From the JHU website:

Admissions decisions will be released over the phone starting Monday, April 3, only to the applicant, the parent or guardian of an applicant, or the applicants high school guidance counselor. Decisions will be released only if the identity of the caller can be reasonably assured.

As AdmissionsDaniel has said here before, decisions are emailed to the email address they have on file for you. If they do not have one, or if it is somehow incorrect, you may not receive an email and will have to wait for the snail mail to arrive in a couple days. Of course you're anxious and excited, but patience is a virtue, everyone.

still no response... still no letter :-/

I'm in the same boat...I'm really scared I didn't get in but don't give up hope...I'm sure our decisions will be coming any day now...

thanks mootmom for the post...here is a bit more of a full, official response to those who did not get an email:

"Regular decision notifications were mailed on Thursday, March 30. The Admissions Office also sent out decision e-mails to applicants who included their e-mail address with their application. A number of students have contacted us stating that they did not receive a decision e-mail yesterday and there a few reasons why this may have happened:

*An applicant did not provide an e-mail address with their application.
*The e-mail address provided by the applicant is no longer active. We would suggest checking an old e-mail accounts.
*An applicant's e-mail system may use a spam blocker and therefore the message we sent is considered undeliverable and bounces back.
*The e-mail address provided in the application was illegible and therefore could not be recorded in our applicant contact database.
**A data entry problem may have occurred and therefore the decision e-mail was sent in error to an undeliverable account.

We sympathize with your frustration but unfortunately we are unable to re-send decision e-mails. We know you are anxious for your decision, but our e-mail system is not 100% fail safe and errors do occur. Expect that your decision letter will arrive in the next 2-4 days.

Applicants who have not received their decision by Monday, April 3 may call the Admissions Office directly at 410-516-8171 to have their decision released over the phone. Admissions decisions will be released over the phone only to the applicant, the parent or guardian of the applicant, or the applicant's high school guidance counselor. Decisions will be released only if the identity of the caller can be reasonably assured."
