<p>As for MIT vs. Caltech, I applied for both. My decision will depend on:</p>
<ol>
<li>Which one admits me (if I get rejected from either one, the decision is made for me)</li>
<li>Which gives better financial aid (I'm not poor, but I'm not rich either)</li>
</ol>

<p>By the way, do you get to choose between the schools after you get your acceptance from MIT, I mean it's binding.</p>

<p>I don't think MIT EA is binding.</p>
<p>neither MIT nor Caltech are binding, and neither one limits your app to other ED schools. So many people apply to both. If accepted, they have until May 1st to decide just like RD applicants.</p>

<p>Well, the other person at my school applying to caltech got his deferral letter yesterday, but I still haven't gotten anything yet. I'm a bit worried.... Even though I haven't heard of any US acceptances yet, amrik you're international right?</p>

<p>Hi, quick question: I still haven't gotten anything from CalTech yet. However, even after I sent in my application, I didn't hear anything from them. Is it supposed to be like that? I'm under the impression that usually colleges let you know that they received your application. I'm afraid that my application was somehow not processed.</p>
