Which 32 is the "better" 32

Hi CC world, I’m a rising senior
I’ve taken the ACT twice (no SAT) and scored a 32
First time: 33 English, 33 Math, 32 Reading, 29 Science, 8 Writing
Second time: 32 English, 30 Math, 28 Reading, 36 Science, 8 Writing
Which score would admission counselors look at more highly? The science nerd or the well rounded student
I’m planning on majoring in biology or biochemistry.
AP Chem 5, Bio 4, APUSH 5, Gov 5, Calc AB 5
I will ultimately graduate with 10 science credits (physical science, biology, chemistry, AP chemistry 2 credit, AP biology 2 credit, APES, AP physics 1, human anatomy) hoping my passion in science can carry me
UW 3.91 W 4.29 Class Rank of 31/377 8%
Average volunteering and ECs
Did a 1 week summer program at Ohio State Pills, Potions, and Poisons about pharmaceuticals
Looking at Ohio State, UPenn, Northwestern, Cornell, Rice, Duke, JHU, Wash U, Case Western, UNC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and Boston U. Obviously I have a lot of far reach schools on that list

Some will superscore so it doesn’t matter. Obviously the 36 in science looks good especially if that is your intended area of study, but there is no reason not to send both.

Thanks!

For the most part, you’re probably better off sending in both scores. The first shows that you can get those higher english math and writing scores with schools generally care more about but the second fits well with your strong science profile.

Thanks for the advice!

I agree you should send both scores. If colleges say they do not superscore, they might still have informal superscoring. They will look at both tests and see that you have excelled in all sections.

Thanks!

Do send both scores in although it costs extra. Even for schools that do not superscore ACT, they may still look at individual section scores. Otherwise, the first attempt may look better as English and Math section scores in ACT are more important. Science is the least important section score in ACT.
