Which A-level subjects do US colleges prefer?

<p>If a student is applying to ivy league he is advised to take 5 subjects. For ex if a person is applying at Princeton for a major in engineering Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are almost compulsory. I wish to know which other subjects should that student give. </p>

<p>In sociology 7% got A grade in june 2007 session where as 29% got A in Biology. Do university take this into account or they simply look at no of As? And also how much difference can 5As and 3As make in getting admission in top university?</p>

<p>u should get A and B s only to get into ivies + great SAT scores, if u get big C in A level then u r done for ivies</p>
