Which accelerated programs do not require MCAT?

I hate MCAT.

Just get into few of them, then decide. If they reguire MCAT, the score they reguire is lower. If you hate MCAT, do not apply to WUSL program, you will need 36 (as far as I remember).

Rice/Baylor, Brown PLME, Northwestern HPME, Case Western Reserve, Univ of Missouri- Kansas City, RPI-Union-Sienna/Albany Med

oreo45,
… and which ones of those that you listed are actually possible to get in? For most, none. If OP is positive he can get into any combined program, than it is a good list. Otherwise, apply widely, include less known programs and forget about MCAT reguirement, if the goal to get into any combined program. D’s success rate was 50%, 3 hits out of 6, Case was the only “elite” program, she was not even invited to interview at 3 of them, including Case. 3 programs that accepted her reguire respectively no MCAT, MCAT=24, MCAT=27. She has chosen the last one for considerations having nothing to do with MCAT reguirement.

All of the listed programs accept students so it is obviously possible to get in. If he/she doesn’t want to take an MCAT then the list is limited.

All are a crap shoot. One person may get an interview while someone with the similar stats/ECs will not.

If you don’t apply you can’t get in.

MiamiDAP, my son didn’t get an interview with Case, either, but he was accepted PLME. It is a crapshoot… It worked out finel because after we visited Case, he decided to take it off his list (too bad he didn’t visit before applying).

satacer, PLME is NOT an accelerated program (it’s an 8 yr combined med program). I don’t know about the others.

You can find information on this in the MSAR too.

jerzgrlmom,
Congrats to your son! D is also in non-accelerated 4+4 program she did not want accelerated, although she was accepted to one. Case was her #1, but she likes where she is now. She might apply to Case Med. School depending on her MCAT. She can apply out still retaining her spot in a program.
