Which ACT prep book to get?

Hello!
I'm a rising junior, and my parents want me to get a head start on the ACT. I'll be taking either the October or December test depending on my schedule.

Here's just a little info about me:
Got a 31 on the PLAN (expected score range 32-35)
School administered a practice ACT and I got a 28

So, I've been looking at other threads about which book is the best, and I've seen that the Red Book and Barron's 36 are what come up the most. So which one do I get if I only was to buy one? Is the Barron's 36 geared toward students who have already attained higher scores? Should I start off with the Red Book and later use the Barron's?

Thanks for your help!

The Real ACT Prep guide i heard is the best and then Barron’s 36 is second.

Thanks!

Real ACT Prep Guide is #1. It’s like the Blue Book for the ACT.

I didn’t find any other book all that helpful. Barron’s 36 is OK, but very thin and doesn’t have great content or strategies.

I would recommend you buy Real ACT Online Prep Guide only if you need more tests.

Thanks @neuerman! I order the Red Book, and I might get the Barron’s ACT 36 if I score well and want to get it up a few more points.

Good luck!!
