took the ACT twice, goth 30 both times. However I am interested in Michigan State Engineering, and here are the breakdown of the scores.
30 ENGLISH 27 MATH 31 READING 31 SCIENCE
OR
30 ENGLISH 31 MATH 34 READING 25 SCIENCE

WHICH SHOULD I SEND?
I would definitely go with the second one, stronger reading and math scores. Do they not allow you to send both?
Flip a coin.
Why not both? It definitely won’t hurt.
Maybe the second one is slightly better because Engineering pays more attention to the math subscore.
I’d send both.
If they superscore (I can’t recall off the top of my head) that becomes a 31.5 which rounds to a 32.
I applied with a 24 on my ACT. You should get in with either score. If I were you, I would send both. I sent all of mine.
Math 28, 29, 32
Reading 22, 18, 16
English 22, 23, 22
Writing 22, 20, 14
Science 22, 22, 23
ACT- 24, 23, 23
The scores are in the order I took them. My math is one point higher but I do not think that will make a huge difference.
I am a girl, and I am out of state.
they don’t
Too bad they won’t allow both - I would have sent both if you could.
However, I would go with this one 30 ENGLISH 31 MATH 34 READING 25 SCIENCE. My reasoning is that the science section is probably the least counted section by colleges. Many don’t even post average science scores but most post average math, English, reading scores. Also, the science isn’t really science at all and I would imagine colleges know this.
Are you sure you cant send all of them? Also you second one is much better.
If you can, I’d send both-- I think it wouldn’t hurt. If not, the second one.
Send the second one with higher math score. Science doesn’t count much. Can you take any SAT 2 tests and send as supplemental in physics and Math 2?
2nd one, because your English and Math scores are higher. Usually, colleges look at the English and Math score more than the Reading and Science scores.
Go with the higher math score one.
