Hey guys — just checked my ACT scores and I’m a bit worried over what I should do. Here are the scores for the two tests I’ve taken:
June 2016: 35C (some prep)
36W, 36M, 36R, 30S, no essay score yet
April 2016: 35C (went in cold)
36W, 36M, 32R, 36S, 33E
The difference is a 32 on reading or a 30 on science. I don’t know what happened this second time on science, considering I felt fine after it, so I’m starting to think it was a misbubble but that obviously can’t be fixed. So my questions are:
If I submit all scores, will colleges look at all scores (even though most don’t superscore the ACT) and see that I’ve gotten a 36 on each section at least once, and move on?
I don’t know why you even thought it necessary to take it a second time, and can provide no reason for a third. If the college superscores ACT, it will use the highest scores from the combination of the two tests. If a college does not superscore it will use the one with the highest composite. Since they both have same composite, those that use highest composite will use whatever of the two they think is better for you.
@drusba I took it a second time because I felt that the section scores that I got the first time didn’t accurately my ability (specifically, I didn’t feel that the 32R accurately represents me). The same goes for the second time: I feel that the 30S doesn’t represent my abilities either.
