I'm just wondering, Which subscores receive most emphasis with respect to admissions

I’m pretty sure they look at everything equally.

I would guess similar to SAT-Reading and Math

Some schools will actually give credit for requirements if you pass a section with a certain score. With that in mind, some scores may be regarded of more value, depending on which school you plan to apply to. The college I plan on attending allows applicants to satisfy their general education requirement of quantitative reasoning with a math section score of 22 or higher on the ACT. Kind of nice, since that isn’t too difficult of a score to obtain.

When schools fill out their common data info for US News (which determines rankings) some report the ACT composite, ACT English and ACT Math in groups (what percentage of students got 30-36, 25-29 etc). So I would guess those are the most important.
