For those in AP Biology, post which book your class uses. I want to know if anyone else is suffering through the incredibly detailed Campbell Reece AP Biology 7th Edition, like I am.

Campbell. I find it very useful, though I hate the headings on the sections...

Not in AP Bio but Campbell is the one our school uses lol.

Campbell's Biology.

Yep. Campbell's 6th ed. Teacher says that we'll cover all 55 chapters and we should know a few chapters to the point we can recall what's on each page :-(

We use Campbell 7th edition. The only thing worse than reading it is outlining the chapters!

How hard is you guys' class? Like are your tests curved?

I like Campbell's. It keeps my attention better than my World History book could last year...

Campbell's 8th edition. I don't think it causes suffering..lol. I actually enjoy reading it. :) Yeah history textbooks are so boring, been living off of Chapter Summaries so far and I'm doing fine.

Our class is moderately hard. The teacher can be a bit boring at times but he's bearable. Out grade distribution is like a bell curve, so unfortunately he doesn't curve them.

Our class isn't so hard but the highest score on our last test was a 78 so she has to curve them lol.

its kind of weird, the book our school uses is "essential biology with physiology" by campbell and reece. it's basically the watered down version of the campbell editions (my teacher calls it "campbell for dummies") but we still do incredibly well on the ap exams. based on my experience last year with ap bio, knowing all the detail isn't entirely necessary to get a 5 on the exam.

I used Neil Campbell and Jane Reece's BIOLOGY 7th edition last year.

A very nice book.

same as yours. campbell reece 7th edition and i hate it.

rather...who doesn't use Campbell....?

These guys must be rich...

We use Campbell's Biology 5th Edition. All other biology books bow down to its biological superiority.

Gryffon, according to my teacher, Campbell is dead. However, I sure he was filthy rich...text book writers tend to be...

Campbell Reece AP Biology 7th Edition.

But the class and tests are pretty easy..... But the teacher has an amazing AP test 4/5 rate - she showed us the data from the last 10 years.

Huh... a guy makes money in his name even while dead... well at least his publishers do...

our curve on tests goes like this...

take the square root of your percentage and multiply it by ten...

if the final number is over ten, average that number and your previous score together; otherwise, leave it as is.
