Which AP class should I take?

In a week, I’m going to start junior year, but I am very conflicted on which classes I should take.

My schedule is
AP Psychology
AP Biology
AP US History
AP English Language
PreCalculus PreAP
Physics PreAP

Then, this is where I’m struggling. Should I take AP Spanish 4, AP Statistics, AP Capstone, or something else?

I planned on taking Spanish. I’m not the best speaker, so I’m reluctant on taking it. I can read and write in Spanish fairly well, but speaking is a weak point. I don’t want to do bad in AP exam and I really am not interested in continuing to learn the language. But if I don’t continue in foreign languages, will it look bad for colleges?

Then, there’s more alternate classes if I decide not to take AP Spanish 4. A new AP class has been introduced at our school which is AP Capstone. It’s a two-year AP class where we conduct a research and write a 10 page research paper (the first year). There’s more to it, but it seems as an interesting class where I can learn new stuff.

Another class I was looking into is AP Statistics. It’s not as interesting, but the workload seems less compared to the other two.

I’m so conflicted.

Spanish would be doable if you really want to take it. I went into AP French with abysmal listening and speaking skills, but still got a 5. As for the workload that class would bring, that varies by school, so you know better if you would be able to handle the class.

If you’re planning on applying to highly selective colleges, a fourth year of Spanish (whether AP Spanish or Spanish IV) would be preferred.

Well, that rather answers your question; if you don;t find it interesting, don’t take it. Colleges are interested in students who challenge themselves, and many/most are well aware that the workload in AP Stats is not overly difficult.

Personally, I was not a big fan of taking AP courses for which I had no hope of receiving credit, and I have not come across many private colleges that offer credit for this. Colleges still seem to be figuring out what AP Capstone/AP Seminar actually is, other than a blatant attempt to rip off IB’s TOK. Perhaps someone who has taken one of these courses can provide more insight.
