Which AP classes to take?

My school only has 11 AP classes offered and you can only take them your junior/senior year. I will be entering my sophomore year next month, but I like to plan ahead.

The classes I'm taking this year are:
Latin II
German II
Biology
Enriched Pre Calculus
Journalism/Newspaper
PE/Psychology

I took English 10 over the summer, and hopefully I will be able to add Chemistry to my schedule, if I'm unable to do that then probably another Journalism class.

The AP classes offered are:
AP English 11
AP English 12
AP Calculus AB
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics
AP Chemistry
AP Biology
AP Computer Science
AP United States History
AP Government
AP Psychology

I'm definitely taking AP Calculus BC my junior year and then either being independently taught, taking an online course, or going to the local college for classes my senior year because I absolutely love math. I don't like science at all, or at least what I've had of it, but I'm hoping I'll enjoy physics so I can take AP Physics my senior year. I want to take AP Psychology, but it's the easiest out of all of the APs (or so I've heard). Right now I want to take the AP English classes, but I might end up not enjoying English. I don't think I want to take AP United States History, but I want to take AP Government, it's just that the regular Government class is only a semester and the AP class is a full year. I'm not sure about the AP Computer Science, right now there's no room in my schedule for the prerequisites but if I don't like journalism then I might see how I like that.

For now my plan is:
Junior year-
AP Calculus BC
AP English 11
AP Psychology
Senior year-
AP English 12
AP Physics
AP Government

I want to take more but the two problems are scheduling and the fact that I'm not interested in any of the other APs.

I'm hoping to get into a top notch college, hopefully Ivy League. Is this a good amount of AP classes to take?

Sorry this is so long, I'm just really worried about this!

Just take as many as you possibly can and you will be fine

Unlike you, my school doesn’t require a certain grade to take an AP Class. I personally see the fact that you are planning to take Physics as a standout and will really give you something unique from other college applicants. I took 3 my Sophmore year (Environmental Science, US History, and AP English 3) and did exceptionally well in all 3 grade wise, but when it came to the actually AP Exams, I only got a 4 in US History and a 2 for the other 2. It’s smart that you don’t want to take any of the others because you’re not interested. It really can bore you and cause you not be as focused as you really can. I think that 6 is a pretty decent amount of AP classes to take becuase most people don’t even want to take one and if you happen to pass some of them, it shows that you already at a college level and that is something they will not overlook. It’s not really dependent of what you take, but more of the variety to show you are talented in many fields. Hope I helped!

My advice is to plan ahead. It all depends on your major. Look at the specific schools you want to enter. I know Princeton does not accept any AP credit in Government or Psychology. It doesn’t even matter if you got 5s on them. If you’re a science major, I’d recommend replacing those with Bio and Chem. If you’re not (as it sounds like you’re not), then I’d say your schedule looks fine (maybe consider US History and CompSci?).
