I plan on going to college as a pre-med, which AP Math course would you recomend? AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB or AP Calculus BC?

AP Calculus AB will suffice. Stats is not required.

Thank you very much

I mean, if you think you can get an A in BC calc, then you should go for it, as with premed, being premed, every tiny edge you can get over the average helps.

how much of an advantage/necessity is it to have taken BC calc? like where would that place u in the 1st-yr math classes?

calc BC is three semesters of calc.

i think you'd be fine with AB, really...

Calc BC is TWO semesters of calc (covers Calc I and II). Not all med schools will accept AP credit.

Check out this thread from the pre-med forum:

Personally (for GPA reasons) I would take AB. My sister ended up taking BC, it messed up her average, and after taking the BC exam she didn't qualify for BC credit but her AB subscore meant she got AB credit, meaning that the class was a huge waste of time.

Stats is completely pointless and way to easy, I would avoid it.
