I'm currently a freshman in high school and I only have experience with Physics 1 and Honors Biochemistry. Which AP science class would be the most appropriate for me as a sophmore?

I should mention that I’m better at problem solving, than I am at memorizing. So, which AP science class would be the easiest for me?

I heard AP Biology is way more memorizing than AP Chemistry and AP Physics 1, but I have no personal experience with AP Biology. I’m taking AP Chemistry now, but I heard AP Physics 1 is more problem solving. I would say go with AP Physics 1.

Is AP Chem hard, in your opinion?

Testwise: AP Chemistry > AP Biology > AP Physics I

@Username223 In my opinion, AP Chemistry is extremely difficult. I study for that class for hours on end, and things just don’t make sense sometimes. However, you could be one of those people who just get it. I’m only one person. I’m still standing by my opinion of AP Physics 1 being best for you. Maybe you could take AP Chemistry as a senior or something!

I’ve taken all 3 and got 5s on all of them (bio because that was the year before they changed it). Here’s my tale on them:
Ap Bio is just plain memorizing. There’s very few applications in bio
Ap chem is a mix. You have to memorize chemical elements and compounds, but that’s about it. There are several very easy formulas that you have to know.
AP Physics C is actually quite challenging, but that’s probably because I had a laid back teacher. It’s a lot of material, but if you’re good at applications and remembering important formulas, Physics might be for you.

^I agree with them.
There’s always a handful of sophomores that take ap physics and they all do really well. Chem is very difficult and will either make complete sense or complete nonsense. I’ve never taken bio, but from what I’ve heard, it’s a lot of memorizing. Physics is hard, but it’s doable. Or… you could challenge yourself and take all three! :)
