<p>Hey guys, so its time to start applying... I don't know if I will be applying Early Decision or not, but my question is: Which application should I fill out? Common App, or school's own paper application? To me, the Common App seems confusing and I think it would just be easier to fill out the paper app for each of the schools... Any advice? Info? And about essay's, if I fill out each school's paper app can I use one essay for each school?(if its possible, I will try to). </p>
<p>Fill out whichever one floats your boat. If you like typing everything multiple times, that is your choice.</p>
<p>If on the school’s form, one says “why are you applying here”, and another one asks “describe an obstacle you have overcome”, it might be hard to use the same essay for both schools.</p>
<p>If you are applying to several common ap schools and if your school counselor would be able to upload your transcript, counselor rec and midyear report then it will be easier to go with the common app. Your teacher recs can also be uploaded via the email they receive when you invite them.</p>
<p>If your school is snail mailing everything then it may not matter. </p>
<p>I agree, the common ap can be confusing to use at first but it will save time in the end because once everything is in there, then it records send and upload dates so you know the schools have been sent everything and when.</p>
<p>Check first with your counselor to find out how they send your forms.</p>
