Hey.
I’m a current freshmen, and planning to take 5 APs next year. Because I don’t think I’m ready to handle that many tests during the year, I want to get a start during the summer. This being said, I’d prefer to tackle the logic based ones during the summer and leave the memorization based APs for the year because I’d forget by the AP exam date. The APs I’m taking next year are:
AP World History
AP Capstone Seminar
AP Computer Science
AP Chemistry
AP Physics 1
If you have any tips on something I could do to be more successful in these classes/the AP exam for them, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
I’m taking 5 as a sophomore next year as well. I’d recommened getting started on Physics 1 and Com Sci as those are the most logic based. Chemistry will also need extra work. History and Capstone aren’t as hard to grasp.
Also are you taking CSA or CSP?
What do you mean by Chemistry will require extra work?
Unless you took Honors Chem this year, it will be a reasonably hard class. Physics 1 and CS should be priorities; physics 1 is the hardest AP exam.
Also FYI if you want me to see this in my notifications when you reply, use a tag like so:
@squ1rrel
It’s not the hardest AP exam by a long shot. That said, it has the highest failure rate @ 60%
@skieurope I meant of the tests he is taking, it is the hardest to do well on.
@squ1rrel I’m taking Pre-Ap Chemistry Right now (Honors Chemistry our school names stuff weird) but I’m not really learning much so I don’t know if it’ll help me for AP Chem.
@TheGodlyBeast Well in that case you should be fine. Focus on CSA and Physics.
Chemistry and Physics will be more problem based so as long as you have practiced solving practice problems, you should be fine. For World History, I suggest that you take time in studying because this test requires more memorization and connecting concepts/timeline.
World will require a lot of memorization.
@Kpoplover103 My reasoning is the opposite, the more memorization means that I should not work on it over summer Bc then I’d lose some of the information. On a logic based AP, it’d be better to start during the summer Bc concepts and logic sticks with me easier for a longer period of time.
