Which are the best/most impressive AP classes to take

I was just wondering your opinions. Personally I would think the most important AP classes would be AP Calculus, AP English Language, AP Chemistry, and any AP foreign language.
I base that off of the fact that I'm going to be a science major (chemistry, physics, or math, oh my!) so it would be really good to enter college w/ Calc I & II and Chem I (every science major -Biology, Chemistry, Physics- requires it) and Composition I and free of a foreign language requirement. All the other AP courses are basically social sciences which are useful for getting out of general-ed requirements but since I like social studies I would be willing to take them in college anyway. Or they are science courses that are not useful. For example, most colleges don't want to give credit for Biology, APES is too easy to be significant, AP Physics B is fun but I need to take Physics w/ Calculus, and my school does not offer AP Physics C :( (physics teachers forgot calc, and calc teachers don't know physics)

Also, which is the best prep book for AP English Language. I'm thinking Barron's or Cliff's because they offer 5 practice tests versus the 2 offered in other books.

i’d say AP calc. it’s actually harder to have a good teacher for that class. i had a horrible calc teacher. the other honors calc teacher wasn’t too good either, i heard.

I think the following five would compose a decent enough transcript.

BC Calc
Physics C
Chem or Bio
Eng Lit
Foreign Language Lit

I only used Cliffs for Eng Lang, and I got a 5.

I don’t know much about AP classes because my school only offers one, but in terms of IB classes:
Art HL (only one person at our school has gotten a 7/7)
Physics HL
Math HL - which our school doesn’t offer anymore because people stopped taking it

In my school AP Bio and AP Calc have a rigorous reputation in my school…

you know what’s one way to determine this? the stats of how well students do on each AP exam. you can probably find this on the college board site or on google.

I’d say the most impressive would be

AP Calc BC
AP Physics C
AP English Lit
AP US History
AP (insert language here)
