I'm going to be a junior next year and I'm going to need one of those books to get a good score on the AP test. According to everyone, AP English Lang. at my school is a joke and really easy. I just fear the same won't be true for the AP test. This is good for me because I hate writing and english class, but I need a good score on the AP test. My big hope is to get a 4 or 5 on this test so that I can get out of college writing classes :D. I'm willing to put in all my effort to this test because my other AP classes are either really easy or just not as important. I know that I'm going to need extra help to get a good score on my worst subject.

I would usually say Princeton Review for everything, but I got a 4 on this exam using Cliffs. And yes, the class may seem to be a joke but I was actually surprised that it helped prepare me for the exam with all of the practice questions and prompts that we did.

The class really does help because all of the practice writing essays will more than prepare you for the exam. I used Peterson’s “Master the AP English Language Exam” and I thought it was really good. The questions weren’t exactly like the exam, but they were very similar. I got a 5 on the exam and I don’t even like English.

I used Barron’s for everything. I thought they were really good, except for physic B, which had a lot of mistakes and typos, but I’m sure they fixed that by now.

How do I improve at multiple choice on the AP english language exam? that seems to be my problem, and however many times i practice, for every passage, I can only get about 45% of its questions correct. the critical reading on the SAT seems to be easier for me, though i was told the SAT CR and AP MC are very similar. For the people who took the class, how did you practice for MC?

also is there a chart for converting raw scores to AP scores(5,4,3…) that someone could please post here…and is there a good curve… because my prep book doesnt have a good chart (cliffs)
