theres a bank of america branch, citibank branch, and i'm pretty sure a wells fargo branch in westwood.

How about University Credit Union? does anyone has a good experience banking with this CU?

B of A. =)

Wells Fargo 4
WaMu 3
B of A 3
Citibank 1

Seems like opinions are divided.

Dude, Wells Fargo is the biggest rip-off in the banking industry (esp. for a college student)

^^ i agree about wells fargo, and B of A is also not far behind either, IMO.

i would go just with wamu free checking. free checking with no tricks or gimmicks or hidden fees. just straight up free checking, no fuss, no muss. now its even better since they added free checks for life, plus the "gold" rewards debit mastercard which give you 3 cents back on every purchase (up to $250 a year).

oh, just FYI, to reach the $250 rewards limit, you must make 8333.33 debit purchases a year, or about 22.8 debit purchases a day. :D

Another vote for WaMu.
Simply because I use it, and there are WaMu ATMs on the campus.
