Which book did you use to prepare for the SAT Math II?

And did using that book help, based on your score? I plan on taking the SAT Math II in the next school year and I'd like to start preparing.

I used Barrons. I can’t really tell you if it helped since I was getting 650’s on the practice tests but then I got a 790 on the Sparknotes test and a 790 (■■■) on the real thing. I thought maybe I had a chance of a SINGLE 800 but no… A 790 is in like the 89th percentile too. Sorry for expressing my anger ahha but I honestly didn’t study much because I learned 95% of the material in precalc. If you’ve taken precalc all you should really need to do is take practice tests to get used to the format and get used to using your calculator since it can be used in weird ways for a ton of the questions (Make sure you’re using a graphing calc).

Barron’s book is notorious for having tests that are harder than collegeboard’s.

Yea that’s why I used it and then took a Sparknotes test the night before which was scarily accurate. Just don’t get too freaked out by the low scores.

From what I’ve been reading it seems like Barrons is the best review book for learning the material and practice tests. Just don’t get too disheartened by the practice tests.

I agree for the most part with the above posters. I think the Barron’s was very good for learning the material and maybe you should take a practice test or two from there. However i also think you should be sure to take a practice test from either the princeton review or sparknotes to get a better feel for what the actual test is like
