Which book should I choose for summer reading?

Yes, yes, I know this is CC but I just need some advice. These are my options:
-The Scarlet Letter
-Their Eyes Were Watching God
-The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass
-The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
-The Great Gatsby

I’ve read the scarlet letter, huck Finn, and the Great Gatsby. Out of them all, I’d say definitely read the Great Gatsby, it’s not a hard read and the book is awesome! The other two are a little harder to read, the language and the way Twain and Hawthorn write can be a little hard to understand. But they are both great books nonetheless, and I highly recommend them both!

Thank you very much! @Saswizy

I second Gatsby! Such a great book.

I like Gatsby but I like Huck Finn better.

Great Gastby and I heard their eyes were watching god was great. Huck Finn is always a good choice as well :)

Another vote for Gatsby.

Their Eyes Were Watching God

The Catcher in the Rye
The Fault in our Stars

Read them all. You can never read too many books!

I’ve read Huck, Gatsby, and the Scarlet Letter. I really enjoyed Huck, more than I thought I would because I hated Tom Sawyer, but it is a great read. The life of Fredrick Douglass might be interesting, I did a project on him in third grade. He had slaveowners that taught him how to read and later on had a rather fascinating life story. Gatsby, as other people have mentioned is good. Scarlet Letter is a meaningful read, but it tends to be in older english so it may be harder to understand at first. You really can’t go wrong. Good luck!

Oh I didn’t see the options choose The Great Gatsby it’s a awesome book

GATSBY

Contrary to most, I recommend Their Eyes Were Watching God. It’s deeper than Gatsby and the others. And more culturally interesting.

I’ve read all except Their Eyes Were Watching God. Gatsby is a good mix of an entertaining and interesting read with a short read. Frederick Douglass is very short but I really did not find it to be an enjoyable read.

Thank you all! Majority wins so it looks like I will choose the Great Gatsby!
