Which book will push me over the hump?

hey, I got a 31 on the test in May, and I am really shooting for a 33 (my grades are just average). I currently own the Kaplan ACT book (I really like this one) and the REAL ACT book, I am looking for something that will provide some insight and types, what books can help? PR? REA?

Also, I want some more "real" practice tests, and I understand that the 2007 edition REAL ACT book has the same tests as the 2005, does anyone know where I can acquire some more?

Thanks

The Kaplan Premiere Edition gives you 2 more full-length practice tests on the CDROM (and I think one more online). Also, the ACT website has one or two full-length practice tests as well.

EDIT: Definitely get PR. Barron's is recommended by some for the Math and Science part. Btw, were the Kaplan questions on par with the REAL ACT exam that you took?

I actually didn't even use the kaplan tests, but i thought that they were a bit harder. I think i will pick up the PR book then (I hate barron's)

be careful w/ PR.... i heard it has some typos in there like mcgraw

Lol, great to know Kaplan is a bit harder than the real exam. I'm always running out of time doing the Science practice tests since I'm trying to read and understand the passage, interpreting the graph/table, and trying to make sense of what's (really) being asked!

The first practice test that I tried, I ran out of time somewhere halfway through. Second practice test, ran out of time somewhere in question 40+. Hopefully by the 5th practice test, I'll be able to finally finish the whole thing! :D

Barron's supporter here, particularly for math & science. Kaplan for the english stuff.
