I am going to Give my SAT this May. I have started reading the SAT vocabulary list and i have with me Princeton Review Book 2012 edition. What books do you suggest to prepare in these 3 months to get 2200+ score in SAT

Use College Board’s SAT prep book(the blue one)!!

It’s the best!!
And the 10 tests on it are the closest to the actual SAT!

Princeton Review is not that great!

I agree with rishav17. I also had only done the tests(Although I had limited time so could do only 3 of them.) in that book.

Thanks, but i read that Barron’s 2400 is a good book and it prepares us for a perfect score. Apart from blue book, Should i buy that?

I prepared using the four books commonly available - CollegeBoard, Barrons, Kaplan, PR.
Do math from Barrons and Do practice test from wherever, but do the 10 collgeboard practice tests for sure.

whatever books you use make sure you take at least 20 practice tests(if you are aiming for 2200+).

Yea i am planning to do the bluebook and a 4000 word list…

Definitely the blue book, because it is all past SAT tests and it’s the most accuarate. If you want to improve your score by a lot, use the Barron’s book because in my experience, as well as my tutors’, who both got 2300+ on their SATs, is a lot harder than the actual test. This may seem counterintuitive, but taking the harder tests in the Barron’s book really made me feel like I was so much better prepared for my January SAT (I haven’t gotten my scores back yet.)

:| i just did the princeton review book, though i had the bluebook too,and i got 2210…should have completed that one too, maybe i could have gotten a higher score…and i never heard about Barron’s book …there’s no point saying this now though, lol

For practice tests: as everyone else has been saying, the blue book.
Add to that released SAT practice tests (find them all over the internet).

For vocab: Essential 300 and Direct Hits Vol. 1 & 2 (both by the SAT god, Larry Krieger)

For writing help: check out silverturtle’s SAT guide on CC (just google it, it’s well worth the read with a great grammar guide).

You definitely buy and read Barron’s 2400 but you have to work hard for it and also only good for those who need math exercises.

Doesnt make much of a difference, though if you have a choice buy the first one, its newer

Thanks! @Thekd95

Are workbooks really useful?
For practice?
Apart from practice tests?

Definitely the blue book. Barron’s also really helped me simply because their practice tests are slightly more difficult than the actual test. I worked until I did well on Barron’s tests, and then the actual SAT seemed incredibly easy. I got a 2400, 12 essay, so I would definitely recommend that strategy.
