Which BS/MD Program is easiest to get in?

Can somebody give me a list of the BS/MD programs that waives the MCAt and is easiest to get in? Can you also give me a list of the BS/MD in 5 yrs programs.

The answer is zero -- none of them are easy to get into. It takes HYPSM-like stats to even be competitive.

First of all, there are no five year BS/MD programs. The shortest are six years. Five years would be far too difficult anyhow.

bluebayou, your blanket statement in incorrect. Besides PLME and HPME, most med programs are not that difficult to get into. There are few more difficult ones such as USC, but most the programs such as NEOUCOM (instate) and RPI aren't difficult to get admitted.

Check out University of Cincinnati's duel BS/MD program. Although I don't think you save time, it does guarantee admission regardless of MCATS and only requires either a 3.3 or 3.4 GPA in college to get into their med school IF you are in the program.

the duel BS/MD program also isn't as tough to get into as that of other schools. For example, I met two kids that got into the program with strong high school GPA and only about 1410 in SATs (verbal and math portions). Many other schools require closer to 1500 on the SATs (CR and Math).

Also Cincinnati Medical School is very good. This program is a real secret. Anyone interest in a duel BS/MD and wants "guaranteed" acceptance to medical school should seriously look at this program.

Cincy's website says "The minimum acceptable [mcat] score total is a 27, with no less than a nine in Biological Sciences and no less than an 8 in any other category. Students must also maintain a 3.45 in all science courses and a 3.40 cumulative GPA."

Bluebayou, still a 3.45 in all science and 3.4 overall is a very good deal. Most medical schools require a lot higher GPA for both overall and in science courses, not to mention a much better score on the MCATs. This duel program would result in much easier admission both to get into the program initially and in geting into med school if the kids just do reasonably well in the undergraduate studies.

In addition people with strong GPAs and 1400+ on the SATs are eligible to get some good scholarship money from Cincinnati too.

Finally, this program is a heck of a lot better than not geting into another duel program. Geting into Med school from college is very tough otherwise.
