Which BS's should i apply to?

Considering that you are applying as a junior, its just that much more difficult to get accepted into a school thats as good as the ones that you listed,
so do your best ^^
and hotchkiss and deerfield are definitely not matches for ANYONE, its hard for someone gets in as a freshmen too :]

also, the korean american thing is not that great, because korean parents are crazy (im korean american as well) and have their children apply only for the extremely hard schools. Some schools do not offer financial aid to (ethnically) international applicants, so you might want to look that up as well :] most of the larger/wellknown schools give more fa, but its more competition, as many people apply.

call the school to see if they will send a rep to your region, and if they dont, schedule an alumni interview or phone interview. if you CAN, go to the campus tour, because it may be quite different from the pictures from the viewbook.

you should think of soething that stands out to the school. you can have perfect grades, 1000 hours of community service, or play the violin like so many other koreans do. however, you should have something thats different from everyone else, like you play the trombone, or you can decode egyptian hieroglyphics or something crazy like that.

kay im done :D

You might consider adding Loomis Chaffee to your list. We visited last year and found people (admissions, students, coaches) very friendly, with a strong academic program. It's also fairly close to a major airport (Bradley - outside of Hartford), so it's easier to get to than some other schools.

happyday -- I know you said you are Korean-American, but just to clarify thing -- are you an American citizen or do you have a green card? I ask, because admissions and FA are much more difficult for international students.

i'm a u.s. citizen, born in the states :o)

never been to korea though..

For your reference;

The ranking was determined based on SAT score, endowment/student, number of AP classes, number of Sports club, number of Extracurricular activities, boarding students ratio, students to teachers ratio, percentage of the advanced degree holding faculties, students per class, and its history(foundation year)
