Hi. I'm taking the ACT next week and I don't have a calculator. I mean I've been using a Ti 89 titanium for about 3 years and as you know it's prohibited for the exam. I'm not going to buy a new ( and authorized ) calculator for the test but I'm thinking about asking someone to borrow me his. The problem is I really don't know which calculator is the best for the test. Could you give me any pieces of advice ?

The best calculator for the test is one you feel comfortable using.

Probably either a Ti-83 or Ti-84. Those are the most commonly used calculators in my area. I used the Ti-83 Plus but I'm sure that any version of Ti-84 works as well.

Do they handle for example equation solving ?

I think I was not clear enough. Actually, I would like to know which calculator I should be " looking for " since I'm going to try to borrow one.
