Rio Hondo, Chaffey, Mt. SAC, Riverside Community College, San Bernandino Valley College, Victor Valley College..goal: to transfer to UCLA.

personally PCC, but its not on this list

PCC is like the Harvard of community colleges.

Yeah, I' trying to keep my commute down as much as I can...note: I'm like 10 minutes aways from Chaffey.

Pasadena City College is the Harvard of CC's? Wow...my other thread says Santa Monica City College is THE cc of California...grr..please keep focus on the listed ones! I'd love to go to one of them, but those are too far!

from what i hear, PCC and SMCC are the two best, but uc walnut isn't bad either. i heard uc walnut has courses specifically designed to help students transfer to various UC schools, including UCLA. all you need to do is talk to the counselor.

What is UC Walnut? Do you mean Mt. SAC at Walnut? Dude you crazy lol

yeah we call Mt. SAC uc walnut around here(i mean around here as in where i live). lol.

Compton Community College

How can Santa Monica have the highest transfer rate to UClA when according to UCLA's transfer website, it gives these stats (in admittance rate):

2002
Mt. SAC, the so called UC Walnut - 37%
Rio Hondo - 45%
Pasadena - 34%
Santa Monica - 39%

2003
Mt. SAC - 49%
Rio Hondo - 45%
Pasadena - 44%
Santa Monica - 48%

2004
Mt. SAC - 41%
Rio Hondo - 51%
Pasadena - 43%
Santa Monica - 44%

2005
Mt. SAC - 45%
Rio Hondo - 44%
Pasadena - 45%
Santa Monica - 46%

If anything, Rio Hondo should be the top ranked! Its transfer rate has been lower than 44% in the past four years! What's up with that?

Santa barbara because you can live in the dorms at UCSB so you'll have the whole expirience.

happy crayon, where do u live? im in rancho cucamonga, 5 mins away from chaffey.

ummm....dvc is one of the best.

hmmm...everyone including me seem to live rather close...

Northern CA : DVC, Foothill, De Anza

Sothern CA : Santa Barbara CC, PCC, Mt. SAC

DVC is a good one.

Grr... these are my only options..I can't go anywhere else!!! By the way, i do live in Rancho Cucamonga....

happycrayon, you may have started the topic but that doesn't mean your king.

stop being egocentric. people are here to help you but this can be a useful community college thread for everyone, not just you.

Santiago Canyon Community College!

I only know De Anza as it's 5 minutes away. It's acutally pretty good but it's in Norcal
