My cumulative gpa is 3.76 (top 10%), but ive had a 4.0 since the end of freshman year.
First sat score- 1660, next sat is still being graded.(but lets assume that 1660 will be the only test submitted)
I hear ethnicity matters, so im hispanic
As far as e.c's:
Sophmore year highschool football
5+ years of county rec. soccer
Key club (volunteer) 2 years running, 3 by graduation
Link crew (helping freshmen better adjust to highschool) 2 years by grad. (Must fill out app. And be accepted)
Not sure if it matters, but i'm an active gym- go'er
May join a ethnic diversity club next year

I have an internship with the state of california lined up

Welp yup thats what i'm working with, i may have forgotten something, feel free to remind me. Im typing on an ipad so please excuse grammar/spelling errors.
Also with these scores and stuff which school should i look to tour and apply to, i'm interrested in business (possible international) or a degree in law (judge, lawyer,ect.).
In short, im wondering with this application which school can i be accepted into in california,
Thanks

Ethnicity does not matter at UC’s. They got rid of Affirmative action for their college decisions.

First you need to calculate your UC GPA, see attached link: <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU. UC’s only use grades 10 & 11 for the GPA.
Average UC WGPA for the UC’s is a 4.0+ except for UCR and UCM. SAT score is very low. If you do not plan to retest, UCR and UCM will probably your only chance at the UC’s. You would need at least at 1900+ for UCI/UCD/UCSB/UCSC and at least 2100+ for UCSD, UCLA and UCB.
You would have better chances at many of the Cal States. Definitely chose your college list wisely.
Also check the common data sets (google common data set) Note *GPA on common data set is unweighted) for each campus to see how your STATS compare.
Need more leadership in your EC’s and write great essays.

If you can get your SAT above 1700 and your UC WGPA to 3.9+, you can apply for the Guaranteed Admission Program at UCR. See link:<a href=“New Students | Apply | Undergraduate Admissions | UC Riverside”>http://admissions.ucr.edu/WhyUCR/ourGuarantee</a></p>

If, at the end of junior year, you have a UC-weighted GPA of 3.9 (10th-11th grade a-g courses only, +1 for up to 8 semesters’ worth of honors and AP courses) and 1600 SAT or 23 ACT, you can make UCR a guaranteed admission safety if you sign up during June 16-July 31, 2014 and include UCR in your regular UC application. See http://admissions.ucr.edu/whyucr/ourguarantee</a> .

Of course, you probably have a good chance at several other UCs. Note that UCs tend to weight HS GPA more than test scores, so your 4.0 starting 10th grade should be advantageous. Of course, you need to write good essays. UCSC is probably a decent chance; http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/campuses/santa-cruz/freshman-profile/index.html</a> lists average HS GPA at 3.84 (presumably UC-weighted) and average SAT scores of 583 CR, 616 M, 594 W.

Ethnicity does not matter in UC admissions.

Being hispanic doesn’t matter (as all of my high-achieving children found out). GPA and test scores matter. Your SAT’s scores can get you into some of the Cal States, and, like Gumbymom and Ucbalumnus stated, Riverside and Merced if you’ve completed the A-G requirements.

Good GPA, but your sat is low. If you want to stay competitive you should aim for at least a 2000 or a 30 on the sat or act respectively.

Btw, what is your major (this is important.) If you are a stem major, your sat is very low.
