I am in a toss up between the two, both of which are $100K+ careers with jobs open basically in any city worldwide.
Cybersecurity is obviously a hot topic but so is “Big Data”. I will never be a Phd in statistics or quant-math guy, but am able to learn ABOUT Data and how to use software such as SAP, Tableau, etc.
Thank you
What was your major? CS? Are asking about what graduate degree to pursue?
Computer Science major, undergrad. No grad school planned. Possible MBA after 5-7 years in the workforce tho.
You would need additional training or certification in both. Both types of training are available on Coursera for free. I’d suggest trying out a couple of short free courses in each to see which appeals to you the most.
Thank you. Will take a look. It seems that in both of those industries, roles amd titles are not clearly defined or follow “tracks.”. A cyber security analyst at ABC company is called a Infosec Specialist at another. a Data Consultant at ABC is called something else at another
It appears “what problems can you solve for us” is the name of the game in corporate America now
