...Easier:

AP Economics
-or-
AP Statistics?

I know it really has to deal with your own way of thinking/dealing with things, but I'm asking, in general, which is less work?

I think both would be easy, but from my experience, AP Stats is a joke of a class. You could probably learn all the material in about a week, and getting a 5 is quite easy...i think you need about 70%.

stats seems easier, but i didn't take either. econ is so uncertain and filled with vague theories.

I didn't take stats..but economics seems easier for me, but yo do use some concepts from statistics for economics...but it's basic statistic stuff (i had only finished geometry when I took it)...but it could vary (I took the course at a CC, but I scored a 5 on a practice AP exam)

both were easy

Well, some of my friends who are sophmores are taking AP Stats, and they say its not too hard and it's not too easy. Personally, I would take AP economics....It's more useful.

Thanks for the feedback.
Right now I'm leaning a bit toward stat.
Anyone else have an opinion on this?

they are both easy. i would take stat after precalc, but that's just me.

I would take Stats. I'm taking it now (I want to be an econ major) and I cannot tell you how AWESOME of a class it is. My perspective on data is so changed. I'm taking it concurrently with Precalc, and I'm doing fine so far (cross fingers!). We're talking about ogives and relative cumulative frequency. I am NOT by any means a math person, and I just love my Stats class!

By the way, my Stats book had a (real) data set, comparing the success rates of Stats and Calculus AB students. 16.8%, I believe, of Calculus AB AP students made a 5--compared with 9.8% of Stats students. This could be the candidates, though. But, Stats is so awesome. I just adore it. We don't have AP Economics, and if we did, I would take it, too. Can you take both? Gosh, you're really lucky to have Micro and Macro. We've been trying to get it to my school for a couple of years, but no such luck--the one person who could teach it doesn't want to, so. sigh

Just throwing my hat in for AP Statistics!!!

I took Stats with PreCalc in 10th grade. It was like an extra study hall for an AP credit.

I'm taking Eco now and it's rather difficult. Perhaps it's just the way my teacher grades the all free response stuff...

I guess stat it is then.

Thanks guys!

I think Macro is much easier than Stat. I took Stat in 10th and Macro in 11th though.
