Which Class Will Give Me A Better Chance?

Hi! This isn't really a chance-me question, but a question on what class will improve my chances:

I'm a senior, heading into the last half of senior year. I'm finishing up Algebra II with an A, and I was planning on taking Consumer Math for the last half of the year - it seems like a useful class and I know I can get an A in it easily.

However, my teacher told me that, if I was interested, he was going to reccommend that I take Pre-Calc B, skipping Pre-Calc A because he didn't think I needed it.

Which would be better - taking CM and getting an A, or skipping Pre-Calc A, taking Pre-Calc B, and getting a B?

How about getting an A in Pre Calc B?

I suggest Precalc B because many elite colleges don’t teach any math below basic calculus.
If, you plan on taking Math in college, take Precalc B.

If you are going to be an art major or something similar, take Consumer Math.

Many colleges don’t really care about senior grades anyway.

Take The best Pre-Calc class so you can be ready for college Calculus Class. The pre-calc B will prepare you the most for the higher level math you will face and help you do better in college.

I’m planning on majoring in either theatre, education, or anthropology - none of which really stress math.

I think I’m going to take the Pre-Calc class just to see if I can do it.

Well given that you are a senior and your are in Algebra II and not AB Calculus or BC or I even know a lot of kids taking diffy Q and linear algebra, it is safe to say you’re not looking at schools anywhere near the Ivies. If you are. Im sorry, but you better be a world class artists, musician, humanitarian etc. Now if you are looking at tier 3 schools (ish) then it probably won’t matter which you take. Here’s the best advice: follow your passion. Don’t take a class just because it will “look good for college”.
