Hey guys..I have one of the later orientation sessions and I was looking through the course catalog to see what combination of classes I might want to take. I was wondering which classes fill up the quickest in case I need to switch what schedule I want...do chem 14a or ls1, math, or music 15 fill up quickly? which other ones do pple usually sign up for firsT?

There’s so many math classes and sessions that you’ll be able to get into those without a problem.

GE’s, though, were often very tough to get my choice of (I did 104 last year), and you have to factor in that some classes, while still open, may not be available to you because other classes coincide, the finals overlap (very, very rare), or are just at a generally unavailable time.

Some of the classes that do fill up very quickly are the most common languages (Chinese, etc.), Political Science, etc. You will be absolutely fine looking at Chem 14A/LS1, just look out for the GE’s.

Just so you know - for the most part, most of the math classes are in the earlier parts of the morning (earliest possible is 8). Gluck!

Be sure to check the “schedule of classes” to see what is actually being offered fall 09. Just because a class is in the catalogue does not mean it will be offered each quarter. For example, Music 15 was offered in the spring but is not being offered fall 09. I don’t know how to include links but just search “schedule of classes” on the UCLA website.

[Schedule of Classes Home Page](http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule/schedulehome.aspx)

well, having us tell you doesn’t really help. it all depends on how the classes are on the day of your sign up. check the classes on the link posted above, and see which classes (or, which sections you prefer within a class) are almost full. then base your decision off that.
