Which classes should I talk?

So over the summer I took an honors algebra 2 (the original course I was supposed to take in 10th grade) course for advancement to get into honors pre-calculus my sophomore year . However things did not work out as planned so I scheduled to take regular pre-calc instead, but because of my summer course I am also eligible to take AP statistics. My question is, would it look better for me to take the honors algebra 2 course in 10th grade and honors pre-calc in 11th, or regular pre-calc in 10th grade and AP calc in 11th(comes after pre-calc)? As of now, all of my other courses are honors and by taking pre calc that would be my only non-honor class. Would that look bad and should I talk the honors Algebra 2 or take the pre-calc class and take the AP next year?

Thanks so much!

You are posting here a year or two early. Asking “would it look better” about course selection is unfortunate, but probably comes with your relative youth.

Also - Check spelling on everything you post - almost everywhere. I am a terrible speller, and I often have to run spell check, and look hard at posts. (Talk/Take)

This is a question for your guidance counselor. When you apply to college, you don’t do it in a vacuum. Your GC is asked to rate the rigor of your course work and grades as compared to all other student’s in your high school. See page 2 of Secondary School Report (SSR): http://www.du.edu/apply/media/documents/2012CASSR.pdf. If the majority of students in your high school are taking pre-calc in 10th grade and AP calc in 11th, and your GC determines that is the most rigorous program of math study at your high school. then that’s what you should do. So, ask your GC
