Which classes to choose first at CalSO?

I will be taking Math 53, Chem 1A, E 10, BioE 24, and a Reading & Composition (still not sure which R&C class to take, recommendations would be wonderful!) course for my first semester at Cal, as a bioengineering major.

Which of these classes are the most popular and will run out of spots first? (Which of these above 5 classes should I select at CalSO? Apparently I can only select 10.5 units at CalSO.)

the school might not offer many math classes as they did before. So they almost make you to sign up for math classes in phase 1.

i want to know too.
ill be taking math 1a, chem 1a, e10 & idk what R&C yet.
but you know i realized
math1a + chem 1a=8 units
so idk what i can do with that 2.5 units... i guess ill put a seminar in there

Thanks guys, could anyone else suggest which classes I should sign up for first?

sign up for math, chem, bioe24 or a diff seminar, and a pe 'cause physical activity for engineers is GOOD. chem and math because you want to get your pick at the best discussions and lab times. if you get sucky friday chem labs, you will be in for a very...FUN semester. not.

why is pe good for engineers?

along stereotypical lines, just so you're a healthy engineer. :]

haha
do you know what pe is like?

it's nice. provides motivation (through requirement) for me to keep physical activity and working out a regular part of my weekly routine - something that i feel is important, even if there is lots of work. pe classes are all based on attendance. it's not hard to pass, and most of the time you best not take it for a grade because then you have to go to every single class. i've taken quite a few pe classes, and they've all been pretty fun and good exercise.

what kinda stuff do you do?

pe is not generic pe like high school
you sign up for certain things like beginner tennis, advanced volleyball, etc.

UCB Online Schedule of Classes: Search Results
Look under note for what it is.

oh how cool! thanks

i'm also bogged down on what to take on phase 1. my classes are e10, e7, math 53, and history 7a.
i'm definitely taking e7.
should my second course be e10 or math?
e10's almost empty now, but i've heard that it'll be filled up completely by phase 2 cause all the freshmen engineers take it. is that true?
