Which College Course should I take?

I am planning to attend the NYC College-Credit Program at Queens College
I plan to major in business, which shall I take?
I do not understand 'electives'Does binghamton school of management require electives for non-related business courses?

Spring Courses

I only can be enrolled in one class.I have to choose as a priority of 1-3,1 as in being most desired

-Intro to Dance(3 credits)
-Topics in Writing:The Classic Essay(2 cr)
-Enviornmental Science(3cr)
-Linguistics & Communication Disorders 101.Intro to Language(3cr)
-Elementary Probabililty and Statistics(3cr)
-Intro to Philosophy(3cr)
-General Psychology(4cr)
-Sociology of American Life(3cr)

Also,I took a course in Baruch College this past summer, should I send them a transcript of that class to Binghamton? I received an A(will sending a transcript of my credits affect my application?)

I’d say general psychology. It’s the most credits and it sounds fun.

would that be the best to take even though he wants to major in business?

Binghamton, like many other schools, has a general education requirement. I don’t know the specifics but it surely requires a certain number of hours in social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, etc.

You should try to take a course that will give you credit for one of your Gen Ed requirements. Look at the Binghamton web site for particulars of their Gen Ed program. They may also have a list of what transfers in from the college you plan to take the course from. I know SUNY Buffalo has such a list, so Binghamton might as well. That way you’ll know for sure that Binghamton will accept the transfer credit and it will apply toward one of your Gen Ed reqs.

It’s not that psych is a gen ed requirement, but if they require a “social science” say, psychology might be one of the courses you can take to fulfill that requirement. I know my son was taking a psych course for one of his Carnegie Mellon gen ed requirements, but he didn’t like it, so he dropped it and plans to take something else instead. I second the suggestion to look up what Binghampton accepts and call or e-mail them if you are confused.
