I am graduating High school this year and this is my dilema.

I have two final choices of college being Rowan University (Glasboro, NJ) and SUNY Buffalo.

After scholarships and what money my family can offer, the price is almost exactly the same.

If I go to either college I will be enrolling in their honors program and the benefits of each are great.

So I ask: Is it a better idea to go to Rowan University to major in chemical engineering with a biomedical concentration, or to go to SUNY Buffalo for biomedical engineering?
(Please leave any biases out of this)

Which major is more interesting to you?

If you might change your major, which school has the other subjects of your interest that you may change into?

Both schools are ABET accredited for chemical engineering. Neither is ABET accredited for biomedical engineering, although Buffalo intends to pursue ABET accreditation in the subject (the department and major in its current form have been around only since 2008 or so).

Both schools are ABET accredited in several other engineering subjects:

If you have visited both schools, and feel that both are a good fit for you, then I would recommend Rowan. It is ranked second in the country for ChemE for non-doctorate schools. It is one of the best overall engineering programs available in the area.
