Which college for me?

I currently am looking into majoring in finance/business and would like to have the opportunity for employment fairly quickly out of school.

My GPA - 3.4/4.0
My SAT Math - 670
My SAT C.R. - 550
Have completed 200 Community Services hours, 50 Shadowing Hours with with D.O.T, and 50 Intership Hours with a local business.
Few Extra Activities - FBLA and DECA

I would like to go to a college that isn't too big, but I don't want to be in a place where there isn't a decent amount of people to meet and network with.

Elon, but you would need to get your CR score up.

Northeastern in Boston.

Does anyone have an opinion on Bentley University or my chances with admission to there?

Penn= best business out there. Apply there def b/c admissions is a crap shoot so just throw one in.

Try Elon. I know they have an accelerated business program my brother’s friend is in. Not too big of a school, but nice campus.

MGMT_Fan… If you meant Wharton by Penn, I only have one thing to say… Are you crazy? I don’t mean to sound harsh, but there’s no way the OP will get into Wharton. I second Elon, however.

As Rex said - Elon, but you would need to get your CR score up, but even then it would be a reach.

Elon is more selective every year - Do you have any Leadership positions? They will also want to see you do well on the SAT writing section (they care about writing). But Great school…

Where do you want to work? When you are talking about the business schools and programs outside of the top tier you are likely to be talking about potential regional employers. Certainly Elon is a good option, but a better option if you are looking for employment in the southeast than it would be in Boston or Chicago.

And I agree about Wharton. You’d be throwing your money away on an application. I think some people just throw the names of these top schools out so that more people who don’t have a chance in h$ll of getting in apply anyway in order to drive the selectivity index up. (not an accusation MGMT_Fan, but that is an unrealistic suggestion)

Hudson… Yep tons of good schools to research… But believe it or not Elon is much better know in the NY / Boston / Northeast then in NC.

ncmentor – In certain quarters it is. It has made significant inroads in NE and metro NYC is still not widely known in the northeast. More often than not when I mention Elon to otherwise well educated people, however, I still get back a blank stare.
