McGill surprises me. A lot. ************** says NYU is the number 1 party school. But whatever.

Yeah I like Madison. It seems that a lot of the top students in our class of 06 are really cool. Many of them turned down more prestigious schools like Northwestern, U of Chicago, Wash U, even some Ivies in favor of Madison. (Yes its a shock; people actually looking for things other then prestige.) They said its not so much the partying, but the atmosphere in general. I might join them next year (or maybe not, we'll wait and see.)

i wish UW-madison wouldn't be so expensive for OOS if it would be in the 10-15k range i would go there in a heartbeat.

i second vandy. the girls are amazing and its a four-year drunken orgy.

FSU-uf, I think the first list you posted was kind of funny.
Someone I know is pretty against drinking and stuff, and he did an overnight at haverford after he got in.
He got **** drunk.
It's funny how things happen :-)

Shark_Bite, I don't know why people on this website find that so shocking. First, many kids each year turn down elite privates for local publics. Second, Madison is no Boise State, so that shouldn't be a shock. 40% of the kids are from out of the state, so it isn't an unknown place and even the outsiders "want in". Third, VERY few things will be shut out from you if you go to Madison. There may be some challenges for a specific consulting/ibanking job, but you'd just have to network and work harder. Anyone who makes it seem like you'd need "OMG SUCH A HIGH LSAT UNLESS YOU GO TO HYPSM" is full of crap and has never gone through the undergraduate expierence @ Madison.

Also, and this is not to anyone in particular, but I often feel that CC portrays social schools as "bad". I want to add that some of the smartest kids I know "party" and get pretty drunk and they go to all sorts of schools. From local ****ty ones to ivies. Guess what? It's about BALANCE. Who are you to judge someone for their social choices? If they are not forcing you to do it and end up fine, well, good for them.
