U of A has a good program for sure, but they don't accept undergraduates from the school into their graduate program if that matters to you.
In general, state schools have astronomy programs (most of them quite decent), and schools that are good in physics tend to be good in astronomy. I would be wary if you're interested in going to a smaller, less well known school for astronomy, however, as often the degree does not prep you enough in physics (which is what REALLY matters on the undergraduate level) which means you can't go on to grad school and you can't do much else because a mere undergrad astronomy degree isn't looked upon that kindly in the private sector. So if you know you want to go on to grad school then do the astronomy degree, if not do physics. You can always switch over in either direction later on.
Beyond that, what sort of schools are you interested in beyond one that has an astronomy department? Because it's a huge country so specifics help in narrowing down suggestions. :)

Thank you!

Right now I'm most interested in the U of A also for their AFROTC program I heard that DET 020 is the best in the west and since I don't really want to travel far, U of A is def what I'm looking into, just thougth I give myself backups and stuff.

Have you looked at UC Santa Cruz? It has quite a good astronomy/physics program, I think. Their website says they have an AFROTC program with UC Berkeley, but I'm not sure how that works.

That means that if I go to UCSC and want to join the AFROTC program, I'll have to go to Berkeley to do it....
