I am searching for the perfect college. I would like a college that accepts ACT scores from a range or 28-32 and SAT 1800-2100 range. Also I would prefer a college near a city, but not directly INSIDE of a city (not NYU, more like University of Texas-Austin sort of location). A school with a great business program and music program is very important, even better if the school has a great Music Business/ Entertainment Business major. Also a school with double major option is highly recommended. If the school has a great athletics program, even better, but this is not crucial. School size does not matter, state does not matter (proximity to a city does), and Private or Public does not matter. If the school has a good Greek Life sector, this would be amazing! I really hope I receive some responses! So far, University of Texas-Austin, University of Miami, University of Southern California, Tulane University, Syracuse University, Villanova, and a few others are among my interests. Thank you
What state are you in and how much can your parents afford to pay each year? When are you taking the SAT?
For Tulane and USC and maybe UMiami, an ACT in the 32+ range is more likely needed. an ACT 28-30 would not likely get into USC, and may not get into the others. Syracuse may also want the higher ACT.
When will you be testing? You need to sigh up for both the ACT and SAT.
Are you a junior?
You need to ask your parents how much they’ll pay each year. Have them run the net Priice Caalculators on Tulane’s, USC’s, Syracuse’s, and Miami’s websites and they can see if they like the “net cost” to them.
You need to know this info before wasting time and dreams on schools that may not work out.
Im in florida and my parents are willing to pay pretty much anything that isn’ NYU ( given that I apply for a lot of scholarships) … I got a 28 on my first ACT and I take my SAT this weekend!
The best aid comes from the schools. It would be more helpful if you can pin your parents down to a number. Run a couple of the Net Price Calculators at a couple of the schools you’re interested in to get a rough idea of what colleges cost and how much they might cost your family. Come back and let us know your SAT score when you get it. Good luck!
For the music industry biz, you have Belmont, too. You’d likely get merit scholarships, too.
I have heard of belmont! I will definitely look it up more! thanks! ill get back to you with my SAT score
What kind of GPA do you have, and what can you afford?
4.4 weighted and I cost isn’t important in the process… any price is ok
