Which college should I go?

I got admitted to UC San Diego, UC Santa Cruz, UC Irvine, Purdue, Vermont, Ohio State and UW-seattle.

I got in Computer Science major in Purdue, Vermont, and Ohio state only, UW gave me a “pre-science”, and the rest of the school gave me an “undeclared”.

How should I pick my ultimate school? I want to study in computer science

Go for the direct admit. Switching into CS will be difficult but not impossible at the UC’s and UW is almost impossible.

I’d say drop UW first. Then consider the fact that youre gonna be living at these colleges for 4 years so it better be worth your while. Consider cost, weather, social & political atmosphere, extracurriculars, and location. Oftentimes people pick up jobs in the same area they go to college. Can you imagine yourself living at each of these universities?

Agree with the above. Be sure to factor in the distance from your home. A GC mentioned that the number one reason students transfer after freshman year is to be back closer to home (which presumably includes a subset of students who realize that instate publics can be cheaper).

Will, I am an international student so distant is no a big issue for me…

I really want to know would it be hard to change your major in UC San Diego or UC Irvine, just like getting 3.8 or 4.0 GPA and all required credit but still hard to get in ??
