I have been accepted to UCSD as undeclared. therefore, i have to pick Math - comp sci major instead of CSE (which is imapcted)
while I have been accepted at UC Irvine for the CSE major
based on the following parameters which one should i pick
knowledge gained (would want to definitely be based in the software/ computer industry so would want to gain a lot of computational knowledge)
Job offers
which would be better for grad school (masters in CS)
school environment and prestige
factors not considered: money (im paying full fee so it doesnt matter)
thank you guys for your time
Do you really want that CSE major? Then go to UCI.
Do you not care about your major, and you like UCSD better? Then go to UCSD.
You can get into grad school from either of these places.
For specific questions about recruiting, check with the career center at each university.
I don’t think it will matter to your job or grad school prospects that you’re adding math to your major at UCSD. You can add as many CS electives as you can fit in, plus it isn’t like math isn’t useful in the field. Adding math might give you better odds of finding your way into non-CS roles in business, too, should you want that option in the future. So you might want to choose based mostly on non-academic fit factors.

thx for the replies
I have SIR’d to UCSD for Math - computer science
Have a great time at UCSD!!
Congratulations. You’ll have fun!
Congrats. My dd was a math-cs major and was pretty much included in CS for everything including research and wet to grad school in CS. You can likely get the same jobs as a CS major but you may also qualify for jobs where they want a more math heavy person and those jobs certainly exist in the software dev and tech firms.
