I’m a bit confused about whether to apply for the college of arts and sciences or the school of engineering and applied sciences. I know that Penn doesn’t have a specific major of pre-med, so which college would work best if I hope to enter med-school?

I would think the arts and sciences since med school requirements have stuff like biology and orgo chem and such. But it really doesn't matter as long as you take all the requirements.

Both SAS and SEAS are good options. You can complete premed requirements in both. So base your decision on what you want to study, not on which works best for med school, because both work good. One thing to consider is that engineering is generally considered to be "hard", so this could have an impact on your GPA...

You can do it in any school. Most pre-meds are usually Bio or BBB majors in the College, although quite a few are BE majors in SEAS. That said, every once in a while, someone from Wharton will do it, too.
