Which college/university is best for...

Computer programming? Actually i'm an italian exchanging student and i'm staying here in the U.S. for just 1 year, but i'm seriously thinking about the opportunity to move here and attend a college in the future... the problem is that i've no idea about which college/university i should go...

Any suggestion?

depends on how good you are lol If you have all A's and you are really good at programming i would say Cal tech and MIT would be the best schools for technology majors in my opinion.

CMU, MIT, Caltech are all good choices.

Cal Tech, MIT, UC Berkeley come to mind.

Don't forget Stanford, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Purdue, Cornell and UT-Austin.

I'm pretty good in computer programming, but i dont have all A's.

Any other suggestion?

P.S. thanks for the replies.

I think Iowa State has Computer Programming. I called something different but I think it's the same... http://www.ece.iastate.edu/ (Computer Engineering) and there's also Computer Science: http://www.cs.iastate.edu/

Plus they built the first electronic computer. It's in one of the buildings and it huge.

UMD is pretty good for average people

MIT, Berkeley, Stanford, etc. + the ones above.

harvey mudd

Washington, Wisconsin, Cornell.

UT-dallas is amazing for compsci, engineering but sucks for humanities. And they give alottt of money.

RIT, RPI, SUNY UB, Stevens are some of the better engineering schools around the New York area and have amazing computer science programs

I thought Carnegie Mellon (CMU) had the best computer sci. I'll also plug Rice University, Cornell, and Harvery Mudd, along with the previously mentioned schools.

MIT! Definately....

I'll have to go with Carnegie Mellon here.

go to carnegie mellon

Consider Lehigh, Lafayette, Bucknell in PA
If you don't have all A's then these schools are probably out of reach: MIT, Stanford, Harvey Mudd, CalTech, UC Berkeley. With a few B's you can still consider Rice, Cornell, Dartmouth, Carnegie Mellon. The others mentioned above are in reach for average students. You should first consider what part of the US you want to live in. Each part has its own distinctive flavor and weather is also a consideration.

If your grades aren't great: Purdue, Iowa State, Iowa, Massachusetts, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Auburn, Colorado, Kansas State, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Tennessee, Florida State, Louisiana State, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas Tech.
