Which college will likely land me in California? (UMD, UF, Purdue, etc)

I’m from Maryland and have gotten into UMD (College Park), UMBC, UF, Purdue, University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), Penn State (University Park), and University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) for chemical engineering. Ultimately, I would like to get a job in California right out of college so am curious as to which college(s) will likely give me such an opportunity upon graduation. Also, I wouldn’t mind living in Florida for a few years after college before progressing to California, so if anyone knows how easy it is to get a job as a chemical engineer in Florida out of UF, that would also be great.

Thanks in advance!

I mean, you go where the job is. That’s all there is to it. One college isn’t necessarily going to give you an advantage over another for a particular location. It’s true that colleges are more well-known within their region (like Purdue in the Midwest) but basically all of those schools are well known for engineering. The college isn’t going to help you get a job; you are. Do plenty of internships and market yourself. Now how the college will help you is by job fairs and recruiters. If you feel so inclined, find out who usually recruits at each school, find who interests you, and go from there. You could argue that UMD, Purdue, UIUC, Penn State, and Twin Cities are the top five for engineering on your list though.

Minnesota is known for Chemical Engineering.

Okay, thanks guys!
